Welcome to the studio
Framed and hanging in the voice studio is the Latin proverb:
Docendo Discimus
By teaching, We learn.
Drawing from Aimée’s experience with the world's finest voice teachers, we share an accumulation of expansive knowledge and expertise with our students, always tailoring our approach to their unique learning styles.
The ASVS Approach
Using techniques based in a foundation of vocal science, specific storytelling and vocal emotional color to craft a singular expression of vocal artistry.
The ASVS Approach is built on the belief that great singing is not accidental. It is the result of clear assessment, intentional training, and a personalized strategy that meets each singer exactly where they are. Our method supports singers as vocal athletes and artists, developing a sustainable, expressive, and unmistakably individual voice.
The Core Princples
Personal Artistry
The ASVS Approach is grounded in the understanding that every voice is rare, valuable, and worthy of careful cultivation. Excellence in performance emerges when singers learn to shape a singular, personal interpretation of music, creating work that feels honest, compelling, and deeply resonant for both performer and audience.
Technical Skills
Our approach emphasizes intelligent, progressive skill-building through habilitation, conditioning, maintenance, and recovery of the voice. Training plans are shaped to support singers navigating vocal challenges, periods of transition, or the demands of high-level performance. Change is reinforced through both auditory awareness and physical sensation, allowing singers to trust their technique under pressure. Over time, singers develop reliable technical muscle memory that allows them to sing freely, expressively, and with confidence.
Body & Mind Alignment
Our studio integrates physical awareness and emotional connection as essential components of vocal training. Practices such as yoga, Feldenkrais-based alignment, and principles drawn from Linklater and Meisner techniques support both bodily efficiency and dramatic truth. By addressing tension patterns, vocal tract alignment, and breath pressure alongside storytelling and emotional intent, singers build performances that are grounded, sustainable, and deeply authentic.
Grounded In Science
At the core of our technique is a deep foundation in vocology, the comprehensive study of how the voice functions. This method considers the full vocal system, from laryngeal mechanics and intrinsic musculature to breath management and subglottal pressure, in order to support efficient, healthy sound production.
